Animals
A variety of breeds make up our small flock of sheep and they each have clear personalities! We have Suffolk, Shetlands, Herdwicks, Valais Blacknose, Texels, Mules, a North Ronaldsay and a Hebridean, aged from 3-10 years.
The Pygmy goats are always entertaining and definitely rule the roost, especially Hazel the matriarch. They enjoy a variety of platforms and play equipment including trampolines - which the sheep also pinch!
The 3 alpacas are all youngsters (born 2023) and learning fast. Bubbles is named well as she is very bubbly and lively - she is first to run across the field when we arrive. Tatti is the most confident and calm alpaca and loves spending time around people. Fizz is the spookiest one and likes to observe things closely but prefers not to be touched, although she is getting braver every day.
Serama chickens are the smallest breed of chickens in the world! Their eggs are about half the size of standard, shop-bought eggs but a higher proportion of yolk so extra yummy! We can't wait to try them in cakes. Our girls are all very pretty and have distinct personalities. They are all named after puddings!
